Cookie Notice + Sticky Bar are position: fixed — they float over the page rather than render inline. Spoiler is hidden until clicked.

Classic Banana Bread

Soft, moist, slightly sweet — uses up overripe bananas. One bowl. Done in an hour.

Ingredients

• 3 ripe bananas, mashed
• 1/3 cup melted butter
• 3/4 cup sugar
• 1 egg, beaten
• 1 tsp vanilla extract
• 1 tsp baking soda
• Pinch of salt
• 1 1/2 cups plain flour

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 175°C / 350°F. Butter a 9×5 loaf pan.
2. Mix mashed bananas + melted butter in a large bowl.
3. Stir in sugar, egg, and vanilla.
4. Sprinkle baking soda + salt over the mixture and stir in.
5. Fold in flour until just combined — do not overmix.
6. Pour into the loaf pan. Bake for 50-60 min until a skewer comes out clean.
